Professor John Furlong

John Furlong is Director of the Oxford University Department of Education and Fellow of Green College Oxford. John has a long standing reputation for research and teaching in three fields: the professional education of teachers, learners' perspectives on their own learning, and educational research policy and practice. He was President of the British Educational Research Association (BERA) during the academic years 2003-5.

Projects

This project, which is part of its Becta's major programme of research in support of the Government's Harnessing Technology strategy, looks at the learning opportunities afforded by young people's uses of new technologies in their everyday lives.
