About

Yvonne is studying for a DPhil in Information, Communication, and Social Sciences, with a focus on the impact that Chinese technology investments through the Digital Silk Road have on AI governance and privacy norms.

She also works in Content Policy at Meta, the team responsible for writing and interpreting global policies governing what users can share on the platform. She leads the company’s efforts to inform its generative AI, algorithmic ranking, and misinformation policies through engagement with experts across the globe. Previously, she was a Visiting Fellow at Johns Hopkins University, where she taught an undergraduate course on the politics of algorithms. She has worked on tech policy issues across academia, government, and think tanks.
