About

Ben is a part-time DPhil (PhD) student at the Oxford Internet Institute, researching the ethics and governance of agentic artificial intelligence.

In his professional career, Ben is an AI safety expert with over a decade of experience in the field, including at Microsoft AI and Google DeepMind. He has authored and contributed to publications at the intersection of AI, philosophy and governance.

Ben holds an MSc in the Social Science of the Internet with distinction from the University of Oxford, where he was an Oxford-Reuben Graduate Scholar. He was also awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Law, magna cum laude.
