Oxford Internet Survey (OxIS) research is designed to offer detailed insights into the influence of the Internet on everyday life in Britain. Launched in 2003 by the Oxford Internet Institute, OxIS is an authoritative source of information about Internet access, use and attitudes. At the launch of the OxIS 2013 Report, we present a decade’s worth of survey data on changing Internet use and attitudes in Britain.
Surveys have already been undertaken in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011 of nationally representative random samples of over 2600 people in the UK. By comparing different datasets over time, careful predictions can be made about how the Internet is affecting our society.
