About

Blake Michael DiCosola is a doctoral student at the Oxford Internet Institute and holds graduate degrees from the University of Oxford, the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and the University of Washington. Blake focuses on conducting experimental research to better understand how people make choices and decisions, particularly in digital contexts. Blake’s most recent academic work was sponsored by Tesco Labs and focused on testing novel digital nudges and information design patterns that can help people make healthier choices in online grocery shopping contexts.

Blake is a practitioner-scholar with over 15 years of professional consulting experience helping major Global Fortune 500 clients like Morgan Stanley, Lloyds Banking Group, Novartis, and Mercedes-Benz embark on human-centric digital transformations.

Blake has been a part of the Informatics faculty at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) since 2016, where he helped launch and grow a professional Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction + Design (MHCID) program.

Blake will be joining Columbia University in the City of New York as an Associate Professor of Practice later this year.
