A European Ethical Code for Posthumous Medical Data Donation

Overview

This project explores the feasibility of “A European Ethical Code for Posthumous Medical Data Donation”, enabling a broadened understanding of data uses in respect of European fundamental rights. This feasibility study is complemented by research on corporate data philanthropy (data donation by companies) to broaden the conversation on data access and data use in new ways and as data access is becoming the motor of AI innovation. It investigates an AI governance model for sensitive use in the light of European Human Rights and develops guidance of ethically acceptable or preferable uses of AI for social good.
