About

Narankar is a Shirley Scholar and Student at the University of Oxford. He is also leading the Safety and Governance Team at Oxford Artificial Intelligence (OxAI) and is Chief of Staff at Oxbridge AIx, an AI incubation start up and accelerator whose finalists have raised in excess of $34 million to date. He brings with him an interdisciplinary background in Philosophy, Politics and Law (PPL) to the study of a timely revolution: the artificial intelligence revolution. He assesses its myriad implications, advocating for innovative solutions and advancements, both through qualitative and quantitative methods.

His current research lies at the intersection of (but is not limited to) Philosophy & AI, particularly perceived consciousness in AI systems, where he focuses on the field of human-computer interaction (HCI). He holds his PPL BA from Warwick University where he graduated Valedictorian. He continues to contribute to this field from both an academic and entrepreneurial perspective.
