Maximilian is studying the governance of emerging technologies. Prior to studying at the OII, he was a Senior Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team where he used behavioural economics to design and evaluate prosocial initiatives, including piloting deliberative assemblies on generative AI in partnership with Meta. He holds a BA in Economics from Willamette University.
