Working closely with the Director and the Senior Executive Team, Joanna leads the Institute’s administration in implementing strategy, supporting teaching, research and policy engagement, and ensuring good governance and high-quality services.

Jo joined the University in 2007, working within the Academic Administration Division in a variety of administrative roles, most recently as the Head of the AAD Administration Team, before joining the OII in July 2022.

Jo received her Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law in 2004 and completed the Legal Practice Course in 2005. She received her BA (Hons) Degree in Sociology from the University of Liverpool in 2003.
