Francisco W. Kerche is a Chevening-WHT scholar pursuing an MSc in Social Data Science at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII).

Their Master’s thesis at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) focused on algorithmic order and its impact on political discourse, particularly how YouTube’s recommendation system reshaped discussions around the Coronavirus in Brazil.
Francisco has been involved in multiple research centers both nationally and internationally, such as the Center for Artificial Intelligence (C4AI), Online Elections Observatory, and the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS). They have worked as a senior data analyst at Greenpeace Brazil, as well as the DPPA-UN focused on detecting extremist behavior online.
