Emma’s research examines how content creators on social media utilise influencer marketing strategies to shape American political discourse. She is interested broadly in digital political communications and how social media platforms can facilitate democratic discussion.
Emma holds a BA with honors from the University of Maryland in sociology, literature, and demography. Her undergraduate thesis on parallels between discourse surrounding contemporary American hate movements earned the Winston Family Honors Thesis Award.
