Cyril is a doctoral researcher in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, working at the intersection of moral philosophy, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence. He holds a BA in Philosophy and an MSc in Psychology from the University of St Andrews. Prior to doctoral study, he held research roles across industry and academia, including work as an investment strategist focused on emerging technologies and their anticipated economic, ethical, and geopolitical impacts. His current research examines high-stakes decision-making under uncertainty, AI ethics and governance, and the conditions for responsible agency in rapidly changing technological environments.
