About

Callum Harvey is a cyber and disinformation policy researcher and practitioner attending Oxford as a Ramsay Postgraduate Scholar. Holding undergraduate degrees in digital media and international relations from the University of Wollongong, Australia, Callum’s Honours dissertation examined the state-like nature of digital platforms. He previously served as a Policy Adviser in Digital and Cyber policy with the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science and Resources, and at CyberCX, Australia’s largest cybersecurity services provider.

Callum’s research has been published in the Chatham House Journal of Cyber Policy, the journal Policy & Internet, and with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute’s The Strategist outlet. He has undertaken cybersecurity policy research with the Harris Cyber Policy Initiative at the University of Chicago, and presented at the Hague Program on International Cyber Security’s conference at Leiden University, Netherlands in 2022 and 2023.
