About

Antonia works as a Research Assistant at the OII, contributing to Professor Mariarosaria Taddeo’s project on the Ethics of AI for Defense.

Prior to joining OII, Antonia completed the MSc. Global Governance & Diplomacy at the University of Oxford’s Department of International Development. Her Master’s dissertation examined how different forms of civil society participation in the AI regulatory process in the UK affect public trust in both the technology and its regulation, using a nationally representative survey experiment focused on AI deployment in public healthcare. She is currently working on publishing this piece of research.

Antonia also holds a BSc. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from King’s College London and has previously worked as a Carlo-Schmid Fellow at the United Nations Department of Economic & Social Affairs in New York, where she coordinated intergovernmental affairs and conducted research on a variety of sustainable development topics.

Antonia is particularly interested in the ethical governance of AI, the technology’s socio-economic implications and gender biases and how AI can be leveraged for sustainable development.
