Alexander holds a BSc in Politics and International Relations from the University of Bristol. His professional background spans international disaster journalism, teaching and small business consultancy.
These experiences have shaped his research interests in the societal impacts of the internet on marginalised and underrepresented communities, with a particular focus on political disinformation and child safety online. His previous research at the OII examined the public narratives from parental control app companies.
He joined the department as an OII Shirley Scholar.
