The Future of Research Libraries in the 21st Century: Interview with Dame Lynne Brindley

Bill Dutton interviews the former CEO of the British Library before her talk at the OII on the future of research libraries in the 21st Century. Lynne Brindley has dealt with many of the issues facing research libraries over more than a decade leading the British Library, which enables her to draw from her experience to identify key themes, that she elaborates on in her talk, also available online. Two other experts were invited to respond to her lecture: Sarah Thomas, Librarian of the Bodleian Libraries, and Fellow of Balliol College, at the University of Oxford, and Professor Christine Borgman, the Presidential Chair in Information Studies at UCLA, and Oliver Smithies Visiting Fellow and Lecturer at Balliol College.
