The Oxford Internet Institute embarks on its latest venture, launching its interactive alumni website.

The Oxford Internet Institute embarks on its latest venture today, as it launches its interactive alumni website. Having seen seven DPhil candidates successfully achieve their doctorates, and over 60 MSc students graduate in the past three years, the OII now has an ever expanding alumni, spread on an increasingly global scale. With such dispersion of the former student body, some means of bringing them together was needed.

This means is a brand new, tailored website for alumni of the OII to regain touch with former classmates, to keep up-to-date with developments at the OII, receive careers advice and even be informed of the latest job opportunities and research vacancies. But it is not solely intended just for OII alumni. It is also a platform on which to show off the success of former students to the public, demonstrating what is possible with a postgraduate degree from the OII.

In the words of Dr Vicki Nash, Director of Graduate Studies at the Oxford Internet Institute, ‘We are immensely proud of our alumni and delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to extend their involvement in the wider OII family.’
