Four members of faculty at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) have been awarded the title of Associate Professor by the University of Oxford, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to research in the field of social sciences.

Four members of faculty at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) have been awarded the title of Associate Professor by the University of Oxford, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to research in the field of social sciences.

Congratulations to the following academics:

Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow Dr Jonathan Bright is a highly regarded political scientist who specialises in computational approaches to the social sciences and political participation.

Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow Dr Scott Hale is a much-cited data scientist whose work investigates the spread of information between the speakers of different languages online.

Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow Dr Mariarosaria Taddeo is a widely respected philosopher working on the ethics of digital technologies in areas such as the ethics of AI and the ethical analysis of cybersecurity.

Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow Dr Balazs Vedres is a renowned sociologist and network scientist working to understand how teams and organisations rely on open networks and diversity in innovation.
