Until recently, justice has been administered in physical courtrooms, and legal advice has been dispensed by solicitors and barristers. The Internet offers the possibility of change – to a world of virtual courts and virtual lawyers, of online dispute resolution and online document drafting, of legal e-learning and communities of legal experience.

This lecture explores these and other opportunities, arguing that justice itself requires a shift from 19th century practices to Internet-enabled administration of justice.
