Dr Vili Lehdonvirta uses survey data and interviews with workers to show the heterogeneity of backgrounds and outcomes for people working on online labour platforms and compares this to traditional manufacturing work. Lehdonvirta goes on to discuss the role of the platforms in creating the variety of outcomes and what implications this lack of class in itself has for labour organising.
