About

From 1999-2013, he served in the Central Bank of Thailand’s payment systems and financial institutions strategy departments where he worked on national payment system modernization, financial sector development, and financial services trade negotiations. In 2002, he was a Visiting Scholar to the Bank of Finland’s Research Department, and was later a Visiting Research Economist at the South East Asian Central Banks Research and Training Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2004. He served on the faculty of the the Westminster Business School, University of Westminster in the United Kingdom during 2008-2010 and is affiliated with the LSE Enterprise’s Technology Innovation: Management, Economics and Policy research group.

His research interest is on financial market infrastructures and the impact of information and communication technologies on financial services. At the University of Oxford, his work focused on how central banks use the Internet to support their monetary and financial stability mandates. He was a Bank of Thailand Scholar to the London School of Economics and Political Science where he completed his postgraduate and doctoral degrees in information systems during 1994-1999.

Financial market infrastructures, payment system reforms, financial services trade liberalization, e-finance.
