About
My current role is Trust & Safety Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Facebook. My work is focused on operational support in relation to safety issues, and strategic engagement with policy makers concerning criminal activity online.
Before joining Facebook, I led the Strategy & Prevention team at Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), where I was responsible for threat analysis and industry outreach. Prior to this, I was Principal Analyst at the UK Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre, a command of the National Crime Agency, and was responsible for the UK’s threat assessment of online child abuse. I began my career in law enforcement in 2005 as a Higher Intelligence Analyst for Surrey Police. I am a member of the Advisory Board for the International Association of Internet Hotlines (INHOPE).
I am a graduate of Trinity College, Oxford (MA Lit Hum 1999, MSt Classics 2000), and hold a PhD from Nottingham University. My research focus is international online child protection policy.
