About

Tedi is a data scientist and researcher working where science and AI meets sustainable development and policy, with specific interests in network science and the use of ML/AI in climate change, biodiversity and conservation research (i.e. deep learning habitat degradation modelling & migratory response forecasting using network methods). Tedi’s current research focuses on graph neural networks for dealing with dynamic, multi-layer network data, as well as narrative modelling by intersecting NLP, LLMs and network science, building novel algorithms and AI benchmarks.

At the World Data Lab, Tedi works on full-stack data projects measuring and forecasting the world’s progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals, mainly relating to climate change, migration, spending, demography and financial inclusion. Tedi is also the co-founder of YouBee – a health-tech start-up using AI to gamify mental health and stress self-assessment, democratising access to wellbeing tools and services. Tedi has consulted UN sub-bodies, governments, public and private sector clients, with work featured on global stages, in UN reports, conferences and academic journals.

Tedi loves reading fantasy novels, painting, bird-watching and cooking, and is an avid skier and swimmer.
