Safiyah holds a BASc in Arts and Sciences from UCL. She is a MSc Social Science of the Internet candidate, interested in the intersection of technology and international development. Her research analyses the dynamics of digital colonialism in the Global South and the implications on development outcomes. She is interested in how regulatory and legal frameworks can be used to achieve digital decoloniality by promoting new ways of implementing technology that is delinked from colonial matrixes of power.
