Eoin Delaney is a postdoctoral researcher on the Trustworthiness Auditing in AI project.
In collaboration with Dr Chris Russell, Prof Sandra Wachter, Prof Brent Mittelstadt and other researchers on the project, Eoin will conduct applied research in evaluating existing AI accountability tools across different use cases and domains.
The focus of Eoin’s PhD research at University College Dublin was on generating and evaluating counterfactual explanations of AI systems that use time series and image data. Eoin has experience evaluating explanations in computational experiments. He also has experience designing and conducting user studies to evaluate explanations.
