Anniki is a DPhil Information, Communication, and Social Sciences student and a Shirley Scholar at the OII. Anniki’s research focuses on the governance of digital infrastructures with a particular focus on cable networks.

Digital Infrastructure, Digital Economic Security, Public-Private Partnerships, Geography of Computation.

Vili Lehdonvirta examines the politics and socio-economic impacts of digital technologies. He is one of the world's most cited authors on gig work and the platform economy. His current research deals with the geopolitics of digital infrastructures.
