About

Maria Jose Hernández Serrano is Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Theory and History of Education (Faculty of Education) in the University of Salamanca.

She graduated in Social Education (2000) and Psycho-Pedagogy (2003) at the University of Salamanca. She obtained her Ph.D. through a research stay with the University of Manchester (2009). She has been participating in various national and international conferences about learning skills with informational technologies. She has taught several specialized courses on strategies for information seeking and lifelong learning. Also, she has several publications related to learning with educational technologies.

Research Interests

Innovating teaching strategies, informal learning through technologies, promotion of creative and critical uses of the digital technologies, emerging uses of social media, digital natives, and impacts on the cognitive and emotional development.
