About

Lofred Madzou is an expert in AI strategy and governance. He is the Founder and CEO of SkildMind, a technology consulting firm that helps organisations accelerate their AI transformation.

Previously, Lofred was Director of Strategy at Truera, a startup in AI observability providing tools to test, debug, and monitor AI models. He led the company’s growth until its acquisition by Snowflake in 2024.

His experience also encompasses advising governmental and non-governmental organisations. From 2016 to 2018, he advised the French Government on AI policy and contributed to the French National AI Strategy.

He then joined the World Economic Forum as AI Project Lead, supporting Fortune 500 companies across jurisdictions in implementing responsible AI frameworks. He has also advised EU and Asia-Pacific governments on AI regulation.

Passionate about developing Africa’s AI, maths and science talent, Lofred co-founded the African Olympiad Academy, a residential high school in Rwanda training the top maths talent on the continent and preparing students to become global AI, tech and science leaders.
