Andreas’ doctoral research centres on appropriate human control of AI applications within national security and defence.
His research also extends to the ethical, environmental and social implications of AI and digital technologies.
His Master’s thesis at the OII explored the use of large, open source language models (GPT-2 1.b and Megatron 11b) for mass political manipulation and citizen impersonations on government-hosted consultation websites and fora. He found that a number of government websites around the world were vulnerable to this type of Sybil attacks.
Andreas co-founded Alethea.ai in 2019.
Today, he is developing the Algorithmic Resistance Cookbook and needs your help: firstname.lastname@example.org
