The OII is pleased to welcome Jean Thomas Martelli for their talk analysing Modi’s social media utilisation.
Jean-Thomas heads the Politics and Society research division at the Centre de Sciences Humaines in New Delhi. Prior to joining CSH, they were postdoctoral fellow at Sciences Po Paris. As a mixed methods ethnographer in political science and sociology, they focus on educated youth, representation and the politics of becoming in contemporary India.

Ralph Schroeder has interests in shared virtual environments and the sociology of science and technology. His current research is related to digital media and populism, climate change online, AI and social theory, and the internet in China and India.
