Elizabeth Dubois, reading for an MSc in the Social Sciences of the Internet at the OII, played in the Oxford University Women’s Rugby Varsity Match against Cambridge on March 3, 2012.

Winning 28-8 the Oxford Blues edged out Cambridge for the first time in 4 years.

The “pack leader” for the Oxford Blues squad, Elizabeth joined the team in October 2011. Despite an injury in late 2011, she has been a starting member of the Blues team this season playing the full 80 minutes during Saturday’s match. A member of Balliol College, Elizabeth has balanced academic pursuits with a demanding training schedule, previously playing for teams in Nova Scotia, Canada and Washington, DC.

Another OII student, Scott Hale, plays for Oxford University’s volleyball team. This year Oxford’s team lost to Cambridge (3-2) in a very close match on March 4, 2012. Scott also played in last year’s winning Oxford team (3-0).

We congratulate both students on their admirable achievements!
