About

This is a National Center for e-Social Science (NCeSS) Node-to-Node Meeting that focuses on the ethical and legal barriers to the sharing and distributed analysis of video-based social science data. The Oxford e-Social Science (OeSS) node is facilitating the meeting and will bring in legal expertise.

The aim of the meeting is to explore the initiatives that are currently being considered in the Mixed Media Grid (MiMeG) and Understanding New Forms of Digital Record for e-Social Science (Digital Record) nodes to address these issues, such as an approach to ensuring anonymity of respondents, resolving issues of ownership and intellectual property rights.
