About

The aim of these two seminars, which are jointly organized by the Oxford Internet Institute and the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, is to provide an informal forum for students and researchers interested in qualitative and ethnographic research methods in online, virtual and other digitally-mediated environments, including videogames, virtual worlds, social networks and other online interactive/participatory realms.

The format for the seminar will be determined in agreement with participants, but may include discussion of relevant readings, research presentations and/or guest speakers. Students and faculty from any department interested in discussing issues raised by doing qualitative research in online settings are invited to attend. For more information or to be added to the mailing list for the series, please contact William Kelly (william.kelly@anthro.ox.ac.uk) or Eric Meyer (eric.meyer@oii.ox.ac.uk).
