Rebecca Eynon's research focuses on learning and the Internet, and the links between digital and social exclusion.
This seminar will focus on the use of ICTs for increasing access to educational opportunities for people who have been traditionally excluded from them, paying particular attention to the movement around articulated around the so-called Open Educational Resources (OER) and Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs). This event is part of Breaking Boundaries? Interdisciplinary perspectives on using technology for learning and participation in society, an ESRC-funded series of seminars coordinated by research students at the Department of Education and the OII.
