About

This week we will focus on examining research methods in digital ethnography. How can one conduct e-fieldwork? What types of data are there to be collected? Which tools can be used? The meeting will be all about doing digital ethnography and being in the digital field. During the meeting we will a) outline relevant literature on research methods, emerging particularly from the fields of anthropology and internet studies, b) overview the ethnographic toolkit, i.e. software, hardware, and other tools one can use, c) delve on personal experiences and share tales from the field to illustrate difficulties, peculiarities, and other challenges.
