About

The global ‘Blogosphere’ is a complex network structure organized around a number of principles. This global network first breaks into multiple language-specific networks, each with a unique structure reflecting a range of network neighborhoods built around things like politics, culture, nationality, identity, business, and networks of practice.

Using social network analysis, statistics, text mining, and good old fashioned qualitative content analysis, we can map the emergence of ‘networked public spheres’ in multiple languages. This presentation shows a number of international blogosphere maps, and looks in some detail at the English, Persian, and Russian language blogospheres.
