About
Internet use is Africa is growing quickly but is the network Africans are using an Internet we would recognise? Using representative survey data from 12 countries in Southern, East and West Africa we examine the phenomenon of ‘mobile centric’ Internet users, the applications and activities that predominate amongst them and discuss some implications for the ‘digital divide’, net neutrality and broadband policies.
