About

J. Ignacio Criado is Lecturer in Politics and Public Administration, Department of Political Science and International Relations, Autonomous University of Madrid. He has published several chapters and peer reviewed articles on eGovernment issues, specially about subnational governments, an area in which he is finishing a PhD thesis. His book ‘Building the Local e-Administration’ (published in Spanish: Construyendo la e-Administracion Local. Madrid, EuroGestion Publica, 2004) was awarded in the III Fermin Abella y Blave Prize (Spanish Ministry of Public Administration).

His research interests also cover public sector reform and modernization in comparative perspective, quality and knowledge management in public organizations, and information society policies. He is editorial board member of the International Journal of Public Sector Management (UK) and eGovernment editorial advisor for Buen Gobierno (Mexico).

At the OII, Ignacio will undertake research on regional and local barriers for eGovernment development across Europe.
