Gemma Newlands is a Departmental Research Lecturer in AI & Work. As an organisational sociologist, her research explores the impact of artificial intelligence on work and organisations.
Noah Khan is a PhD candidate in Social Justice Education at the University of Toronto. He is currently a Recognised Student at the Oxford Internet Institute in the DPhil in Social Data Science Program and a Visiting Assistant in Research at Yale University’s Department of American Studies. His research focuses on the emotional dynamics of artificial intelligence development; he examines the ways in which emotions such as love, fear, grief, etc., affect how technology gets made in multiple countries such as Canada, the US, the UK, and India.
