About

Sam spent several years as a technical lead at Meta working across high priority escalations and building perceptual hash matching technologies to address some of the internet’s most severe problem areas, including Child Safety (CSAM), NCII and Terrorist Content. Sam now leads Solutions Engineering at Cinder where he consults top generative AI companies, leading marketplaces, and social media platforms; overseeing the transformation of their Trust and Safety operations.

Sam is pursuing his masters in Social Science of the Internet at the Oxford Internet Institute part-time, with a focus on the technical feasibility of online regulation, and its ability to genuinely ensure the wellbeing of individuals accessing the internet.
