About

Lola is a researcher on the Fairwork Project, who has conducted evaluations of labour conditions at business process outsourcing centres in AI supply chains. She has also conducted research about labour conditions on digital labour platforms and the impact of AI and robotics in the logistics sector, focusing on UK-based Amazon warehouses. Prior to joining the OII, Lola worked for a local government-funded platform cooperative, which sought to provide an ethical alternative to established food delivery platforms, as well as a boutique market research company. Lola gained her BA in history from the University of Leeds and her MSc in Politics and Communications from the London School of Economics. She is dedicated to defending and furthering labour rights and job quality in the context of the digital transformation.
