Dorian Quelle is currently pursuing his PhD studies in Quantitative Network Science at the Department of Mathematics, UZH, and is a member of the Digital Society Initiative. His research builds on his thesis at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII), titled “Variations in misinformation across languages and the impact for transfer learning,” supervised by Scott Hale and Fabian Braesemann.
At present, Dorian is collaborating with Scott Hale to explore the evolution of misinformation across languages, domains, and its fact-checking aspects. Before graduating with an MSc in Social Data Science, he was a researcher at the Programme on Democracy & Technology, where he studied misinformation and disinformation in foreign state media and on social media.
Alongside his academic pursuits, Dorian applies his expertise in the role of a Data Scientist, focusing on countering disinformation and foreign state propaganda.
