About

Sofie is a PhD researcher in the Applied Data Mining group at the University of Antwerp. She studies how we can make AI more aligned with our ethical objectives, with a focus on transparency and explainability. She was a visiting researcher in The Governance of Emerging Technologies (GET) research programme at the Oxford Internet Institute.

Research Interests

Responsible AI, Explainable AI, Transparency, Fairness, Computational Social Science.
