About

Calvin is a PhD student in computational communication research. His works centre around misinformation diffusion and mutation in multilingual contexts and applying LLMs to measure human values. He also studies conspiracy theory diffusion and mutation on social media.

Calvin holds an MPhil in Communication from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an MA in Journalism from the University of Hong Kong, and a dual BA in Business English and International Politics from the University of International Business and Economics. His research is generously funded by OII – Dieter Schwarz Foundation, and the Alan Turing Institute – DSO Labs Singapore Collaboration project. He is also a COSF scholar (China Oxford Scholarship Fund).

Research Interests

Multilingual misinformation, social media, large language models, moral foundation theory.
