While modern technology enables broader access to the media, new threats like misinformation, digital censorship and online surveillance create hostile environments for journalists and newsgatherers.

The panel was be moderated in-person by Lidewij van Vliet, FPU’s Development Officer, and Mia Speier, OII student, Flora Shulte Nordholt, FPU’s Policy and Advocacy Officer focused on legal, digital and gender-based threats to journalists. and FPU’s UK Ambassador.
