Richard Wike, Director of Global Attitudes Research at the Pew Research Center in Washington DC, will present results from a new survey of 38 countries from around the world on views about democracy and alternative political systems. He will also present the Center’s findings on public opinion about free expression across the globe, including free expression on the internet. Exploring regional, ideological, demographic, and economic divides on these questions in the countries surveyed, the data offer a broad look at global public opinion toward democracy and civil liberties.
