About

Klara is a Research Assistant in Economics working under Dr Fabian Braesemann on the Science of Startups Initiative (SOSI) at the Oxford Internet Institute. The project investigates the determinants of success in entrepreneurship, startups, and innovation ecosystems, combining data science, computational social science, and qualitative methods.

Originally from Slovenia, Klara completed her BSc in Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana, complemented by study experiences in Austria, Australia, and Canada. After a gap year during which she briefly worked at PwC and attempted to launch her own venture, she pursued an MSc in Management at Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon. Most recently, she worked in consulting in Frankfurt with a focus on financial institutions.
