Laura is a Rhodes Scholar from Germany whose research examines the governance of digital health technologies, with a focus on patient data security and interoperability. She is particularly interested in addressing the fragmentation of medical records and the lack of reliable data exchange across healthcare systems, challenges that have direct consequences for patient safety and quality of care.
As a serial founder, Laura brings an applied perspective to these questions. Her most recent venture, Mii, is a healthcare technology start-up piloted in Australia and Taiwan that develops tools for secure and accessible patient data sharing. Laura graduated with high honours in Economics and Computer Science from Harvard University, where her academic work centred on healthcare economics.
