About

Yasi is a Clarendon Scholar examining Silicon Valley’s ideological evolution, particularly the transition from effective altruism to effective accelerationism and the philosophical underpinnings of this shift. She holds a B.S. from Stanford University in Symbolic Systems (Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence), where she worked on using AI to depolarise individuals through deliberative democracy.

Prior to the OII, Yasi spent two years as a business analyst with McKinsey & Company in Washington D.C., working on implementing AI responsibly across a myriad of industries (e.g., financial services, high tech, manufacturing).

Research Interests

Artificial Intelligence, Political Polarization, Populism, Bias, Democracy, Large Language Models, Mis/Disinformation, Algorithms, Internet Regulation.
