Alexis is an MSc in Social Data Science student on a Marshall Scholarship, interested in fairness metrics and bias mitigation strategies in healthcare algorithms. She holds an MSc in Narrative Futures: Art, Data, Society from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University at Buffalo.
Alexis has experience as an AI Governance Teaching Fellow and as a Communications Specialist for an AI and biosecurity think tank. Her work is dedicated to creating equitable outcomes for racially minoritized groups by addressing algorithmic discrimination and advancing AI literacy.
